Funding

Without including parent donations, in-kind material donations, or the use of my existing inventory this project cost approximately $2,500. This project was implemented in a time where teaching budgets were very depressed. Luckily, the previous summer had been an eventful grant season and I had been awarded a grant from the San Diego Foundation, received an honorable mention in the 2012 STEM Innovators in Education (STEMIE) Awards for my submission on my Seniors² project last year, and successfully funded nearly $3,000 in supplies through my Donors Choose account.
